Ensuring our customers get the fresh and healthy food they need and deserve.

In the WSCAH warehouse, boxes of produce sit stacked on palettes and on steel tables. Six plastic punnets of plump, juicy blueberries sit prominently on a table in front of the camera.

People experiencing food insecurity deserve better than the calorie-dense, ultra processed food that has historically been the mainstay of pantry distributions. This is why more than 50% of the food we distribute is fresh fruits and vegetables.

At WSCAH, dignity, community, and choice are the driving principles for all the work we do. At the heart of every decision we make is a simple question: How can we make it easier for customers to get the healthy food they want?

This is why we embrace innovation. We continue to explore different ways to serve our many customers with new models that are designed to level access to healthy food.

Expanding our operations to serve more New Yorkers.

In 2024, we opened a new 13,000 square foot warehouse and distribution hub for storing and distributing food across the city. We do not distribute food directly to customers from this location, but instead use the space to increase our capacity and reach citywide.

Meeting our customers where they are.

With our Community Partners and Hubs and in partnership with members of the Roundtable, we serve millions of New Yorkers across all five boroughs at locations that are convenient for them.

Home Delivery

We understand not everyone can make it to a distribution site, even if it’s close to home. This is why we have partnered with NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital to provide home delivery services to families with young children (ages 0-5) and older adults (ages 65+) We distribute food twice a month to 1,000 households.

The collaborative program is for patients of NewYork-Presbyterian. We are looking to expand the model to other hospital networks.
